EN: Video installation Political recycling shows with a strong symbolical way the current status in a Slovenian space, when people in every day and public conversations question the necessity and ability of politicians. Author Valerie Wolf Gang sets the Slovenian Parliament in the toilet bowl, and indicates that this is more suitable place for this kind of political debate as general crisis is getting deeper. The author in a symbolic way also plays with the idea that newspapers and magazines are often read straight on the toilet seat, so it is actually recycled: over the eyes to the brain, and then quickly out through the anus. Then the flush of water follows which takes the political platitudes far away underground where they slowly rot. If all of that could be that easy.

SLO: Video instalacija Politična reciklaža na močen simbolni način prikazuje trenutno stanje v Slovenskem prostoru, ko se ljudje v vsakdanjih in javnih pogovorih sprašujejo o potrebnosti in sposobnosti politikov. Avtorica Valerie Wolf Gang postavi slovenski parlament v straniščno školjko in tako nakaže prostor, ki je za takšne politične razprave trenutno bolj primeren, saj se splošna kriza čezdalje bolj poglablja. Avtorica se na simboličen način poigrava tudi z mislijo, da se časopisi in revije pogosto prebirajo ravno na straniščni školjki, tako da gre pravzaprav za reciklažo: čez oči v možgane, potem pa kmalu ven čez zadnjično odprtino. Sledi poteg vode, nato pa odnese politične floskule daleč v podzemlje, kjer počasi zgnijejo. Ko bi bilo lahko vse tako preprosto.
