Valerie Wolf Gang presented Symbioparasitica at Speculum Artium 2024, the international festival of new media culture held at Delavski dom Trbovlje from 18 to 21 September 2024.
In this interactive virtual landscape, the visitor is no longer a passive observer. Every movement leaves traces that permanently transform the environment, appearing as organic growths based on the texture of human skin.
The work examines the relationship between humans and nature, the individual and the collective, technology and the environment. It raises questions about sustainability, interdependence and the irreversible impact of human presence on the world around us.
Speculum Artium 2024 presented works by 35 artists from around the world at the intersection of art, science and contemporary technology.
