Valerie Wolf Gang and Borut Peterlin co-founded Peterlin Wolf Gang Studio at Samostan Mekinje, a collaborative research and art studio connecting nineteenth-century master crafts with technologies of the future.
The studio brings together wet-plate collodion photography, glass, paper and chemistry with artificial intelligence, robotics, virtual reality, augmented reality and broader XR technologies.
Its research asks how artistic practice can remain connected to materiality, memory, nature and ethical imagination in an increasingly technological world. The studio develops artworks, exhibitions, workshops, lectures and international research collaborations at the intersection of art, science, technology and cultural heritage.
