Valerie Wolf Gang received Roberto Cimetta Travel Grant 2017 to “travel from Ljubljana to Thessaloniki by car in August to develop her project The Silence of the Balkans, a return route of the refugees to document the graveyards (sounds and photographs) and make an exhibition of what went terribly wrong in the region. She will also take part in the International Documentary Festival Make Dox in Macedonia. On her return to Ljubljana, she will showcase her work with local support”. The route will take 3 weeks and will connect cities as follows:
The route will be 3.000 km long and will cross following countries: Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia, and Greece.
