As I mentioned yesterday, we also tried to catch the “garbage men” today. Success? No. The biggest problem is the language barrier – I guess it’s just not possible to find English speaking “garbage man” in Venice. But our paths were crossed by one interesting guy called Fernando, who is willing to meet us tomorrow at 8 am and show us his usual working day. He’s the boat driver and he drives his boat through the canals of Venice and two other men jumps from the boat to read the “gas meters of houses”… Ah, long story, you will see the documentary later! The important thing is that he’s interesting person and that he is willing to let us on his boat so we can discover the hidden Venice with him.
