Michal Rynia and Nastja Bremec Ryniaย (ย MN Dance Companyย ), internationally renowned professional choreographers and dancers, were the protagonists ofย Borderless Body.ย First stepย was held as part of Mittelfest in July 2022 under the artistic direction of Neda Rusjan Bric.ย The work and research group formed on that occasion, made up of performers, scholars, and cultural operators, is continuing its activities to continue exploring the limits of the body – human and robotic -, the boundaries between reality and fiction, between artificial intelligence and human, between the creativity developed by algorithms and that which springs from the human body in action.
Bologna is the second stage of a process that will lead to creating an impressive performance designed to celebrate Nova Gorica-Gorizia European City of Culture 2025. Neda Rusjan Bric, promoter of the candidacy of Nova Goriza-Gorizia and its current artistic adviser, has coined the event’s motto, which will ideally abolish the borders between the two cross-border cities:ย Go!ย Borderless 2025.ย A slogan that we make our own to reflect, through the theatrical device, on the remodeling of borders or, again, on the possible practices of crossing or canceling them.
Borderless Body step #2ย is a project in two movements and benefits the collaboration of Valerie Wolf Gang and Darrel Toulon (Alpha group).
